Here's a new Outfit of the Day post (I haven't made one for a whole six months - SAY WHAAAT?) for you fine ass people. This mini dress is my new all-time favourite, unsurprisingly sourced from the gorgeous company that is Free People. It is a pink, deep v-necked number and is bursting with floral designs and patterns. Most importantly it is super fun and flexible to run and dance in; unfortunately, I forgot to get a shot twirling in the dress but you will have to trust my verdict on its great flowing power. As with most of the dresses I own, it is quite see through - God knows what was going through the minds' of the people who made it but I guess it makes it appear a little more light and magical than your usual dress. For this reason, wearing a pair of shorts (I suggest hot pants) underneath is vital. Also, typically for Outfit Of The Day articles, I remember to take off my festival wristbands to make the images look more natural and the outfits more accessible/dressed up, however I forgot to do so this time. But I guess the reality of the situation is that I never, ever take my wristbands off so really they should be a part of all of them. They work quite well in this shoot actually because there is a lot of colour! The shooting location itself was stunning and a little bit too magical especially as the sun was going down, however it certainly triggered our hay fever.
Dress - Free People
Boots - Free People
Socks - Topshop
Bracelets - Monsoon Accessorize and Local Retailer
Earrings - Handmade in Australia
As you can tell, practically all of my shoots start off serious and end up in me prancing around like a loser. But hey, if this dress was not made to be playful and silly in, nothing is.
What is your favourite piece of clothing to frolic and cavort in?
