Farewell Sweet Seventeen

Eighteen. I am turning eighteen. In five days time, on the 30th of November I will be eighteen years of age. I will officially be an adult and be legal to buy booze and fireworks (what more can a girl want!?) 

I thought I would document some of my personal highlights of my seventeenth year on this planet - I think it would be nice for me to have something to look back on in years to come... 
I cannot thank everyone who has made this year wonderful for me enough - you all rock!

In no particular order,

• Going on holiday to Rome with Gaz

My first time going away on holiday by myself (as opposed to with family or school/college) and the first time visiting Rome for both of us - it was an incredible week spent with my best friend exploring such a beautiful and cultural city! 

• Being in my first relationship (and it being a bloody fantastic one at that)

I started going out with my boyfriend on the 1st of December 2013 (the day after my 17th birthday to be precise) and we will be celebrating not only my 18th but also our one year anniversary together in London this weekend! 

• Acing my AS Levels and applying to University
I received AAAB in English Literature, Geography, Chemistry and Maths respectively, getting full marks in my English exam which I was especially proud of! Since then I have dropped Chemistry... 
I have applied for English Literature at Exeter, Warwick, Bristol, Durham and York - my application was only sent off five days ago so I have not heard anything back yet but *fingers crossed* will do soon!

• Festivals - Leeds and Lubstock

Leeds I went to with Gaz and Lubstock with my Surrey friends - both absolutely insane! I also went to a few gigs over my seventeenth year including Bombay Bicycle Club, Courteeners and The 1975!

• French Alps (Geography college field trip)

I had such a fun time with my friends exploring such a beautiful and sublime part of the world (I felt very lucky indeed!) Also getting drunk practically everyday was absolutely hilarious.

Let's hope for a great eighteenth year! Hope all you beautiful people have a fab year awaiting you too.
