    What's On My iPhone 6

Hello and welcome to my official iPhone tour, pull up a seat why don't you and brace yourself for the longest post ever. If you are anywhere as near as nosy as I am then this might be just the post for you! As trivial as it sounds I love seeing what apps others use and nothing makes my day like finding a new good'un... enjoy!

I currently own the iPhone 6. I got it within the first couple of weeks of release which is mental and not like me at all... I owned the 4S for a few years and in the previous 6 months leading up to the 6's release, it was on its last steps. It finally and unfortunately gave out conveniently just as the 6 was released and I had saved up money from my part time job so I was like why not!? After much investigation I concluded that it was only about £50 more to buy the 6 as opposed to one of the 5's and this investment has been fabulous. Anyway, enough of the history lesson, let's get into the nitty-gritty stuff.

If you recognise the lyrics on my phone case then props to you, you rock. If not, they are taken from Vampire Weekend's 'Step'. Everyone universally knows that this piece of artwork is Van Gogh's 'The Starry Night' which equally rocks.

I bought this case from one of my faaaavooourite online stores ever Society6 from the artist 'Modern Vampires of Art History' - if you are a Vampire Weekend fan then I urge you to check it out. You can find similar artists who create these for lots of different bands online as well!

For starters you can see my lock screen in the first photo. My background is a photo of the Spanish Steps from when I visited the beautiful Rome last summer!

    Home screen

For someone who is generally an utter mess, my phone is very specifically organised. I like keeping my apps/folders at the top of the screen as it feels more decluttered to me and means I can actually see my background which is of Gaz and some horses up a hill from a walk we went on back in October. However, my backgrounds change pretty frequently so who knows what it or the lock screen background will be of next...

On the first page I have general apps which come with the phone (these are the ones I actually use!) I prefer using the Gmail app to the integrated Mail one as it means I can sort my mail into folders and see my sent/deleted emails, etc. The others are basically self explanatory! I also have Phone, Messages, Camera and Music on the bottom toolbar. You can now take a little sneak peak at all of my folders seperately...

    Social

Again, pretty self explanatory... in my Social folder we have TwitterTumblrFacebookInstagram,
GoodreadsVine and Pinterest in no particular order.

    Blogging

I use Blogger to write/edit blog posts on the go and to reply to comments (it may be interesting for you to know that practically all of my posts so far have been written on public transport).

Bloglovin is what I use to see other bloggers' updates and to read posts on the go.

I don't really use nor utilise my Google+ as much as I should do but I hope to do so more effectively in the future.

Google Analytics is what I use to see how this ol' website is coming along - I definitely recommend it, it is a very useful app.

Google Drive is one of a couple of apps I have on my phone which help me to store/transfer files especially between my laptop and phone.

In retrospect I have absolutely no idea what Wunderlist is doing in the Blogging folder but here we are. I am an avid list maker and this app does just the job and more - I love it!

I use TwitFollow and Followers+ to track my Twitter and Instagram accounts - I mainly use these apps to see who has unfollowed me (haha!)

    Messaging

Couple, ahh, what a beautiful (yet incredibly cringey) app - I can't believe I'm sharing this with you, haha! This is the messaging app Gaz and I use to chat... having our own separate app and space just for our messages is super swell. It also features shared lists, calendar, typical messaging services like photo and video sharing, and even novelty features like being able to see what the other person is listening to/sketch boards/"Thumbkiss"/etc.

I then also use Facebook MessengerWhatsapp and Skype - all self explanatory!

    Lifestyle

According to this folder, my life entirely revolves around food and to be honest, this isn't far from the truth. I use the SUBCARD and Nando's apps to track points on my cards. I then also have the Domino's and PizzaExpress apps simply for quick menu access. The only non-food related app here is Odeon which I use to see what's on in the cinema.

    Travel

This is my favourite folder in my eyes as travel is the most exciting thing ever for me!

I use National Rail and National Express Coach to check train times and to check/book coach tickets.

Tube Map - London Underground is what I use when I travel on the underground when I am down in London. This app is as simple as it sounds - it consists of a map of the tube lines which I find much easier then checking on larger maps/saving an image of the map on my phone.

Citymapper is an awesome app for finding your way around some of the world's biggest cities by public transport (and most importantly shows underground line statuses and cancellations). Although there isn't a really wide range of places available, I have found it useful for navigating around London, Rome and (prospectively) Berlin.

Airbnb a.k.a. the greatest app for procrastination! You'd think one would get bored at looking at quirky worldwide apartments/etc all day long but you underestimate me. I don't have much else to say other than the fact that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this app.

I use TripAdvisor to find the best hotels/restaurants/attractions around where I am whether that be abroad or local.

Tripomatic is one I only recently downloaded in order to plan mine and Gaz's trip to Prague and Berlin (whaaaat!? I hear you cry). Yep, that's correct, in 8 days (ahh!) we are heading off for 6 nights to Prague and Berlin and I am super excited. Be on the look out for incessant Instagram updates and lots of blog posts. If you have any recommendations for either of these two places then please let me know.

This app is super useful for planning a good itinerary for your holiday... last summer when the two of us visited Rome we were there for 5 nights and so there was no need for a solid itinerary - we could just relax and take our time. However, as we are spending only two full days in each place we have so many things we want to pack into a short space of time so planning is key. The app also shows top attractions, hotels, has some wicked maps, shows you the weather and gives help with transport.

Field Trip is another app which does a very similar job to both TripAdvisor and Tripomatic by basically showing you what good attractions there are nearby.

My Currency Converter does exactly as the title suggests - converts currency. This very simplistic app is really useful for quickly relating currencies when spending abroad.

Easyjet (due to price) is obviously my go-to airline when flying in Europe. I simply use this and Apple's integrated Passbook to check-in and download boarding passes on my phone.

    Shopping

Here you can find all my shopping apps and to be quite honest, I barely touch this folder. I'm not really much of a shopper, I'm always saving money as opposed to spending. But, when I do need to buy something I prefer using apps than Safari to browse. In this folder you can find Etsy (my fave), ASOSTopshopZaraAmazon and eBay.

    Student & Finance

I use NUS ExtraUNiDAYS and The Gourmet Society for all my student deals and discounts - I'd say these apps are practically life savers for me.

Barclays Mobile BankingBarclays Pingit and Paypal are what I use to manage/check my bank account and to transfer money, etc.

I have been using Quizlet this year as in A2 English Literature the exam is closed book meaning that you need to know a lot of quotes from the texts you are studying... this is the app I use to keep a bank of all my quotes and to test myself on them.

I don't really like the app for The Student Room that much so I don't use it often however the website is brilliant and super useful for chatting to other students about exams, university, your future, lifestyle, relationships, etc.

    Photography

In all honesty the only photo app I use regularly is Afterlight - it is my go-to app for all things editing. However, I do occasionally use VSCOcam as well but very rarely.

PhotoCollage and Photo Blender are what I use to make collages for Instagram photos.

Fragment is a really quirky and cool editing app - I can't really explain it but you should definitely check it out for yourself.

A Beautiful Mess made by the lovely ladies over at abeautifulmess.com is awesome for adding text, doodles and borders!

Koredoko is probably an unusual one, however it is basically used for adding geotags to photos. So say that you wanted to upload a photo to Instagram which you took in another country but you are not in that country anymore, you could add a geotag to the photo at the location you were. This means that on Instagram you can add it to your map at the place you took the photo as opposed to where you are currently. Phew, I hope that made sense...

    Entertainment

This is self explanatory - in my Entertainment category I have YoutubeVimeoNetflixBBC iPlayer and BBC News. I don't use these that often, other than Netflix which I use everyday.

    Etc

Everyone loves a bit of Shazam - this isn't an app I've used much recently but I've found some wicked tunes when I'm out and about shopping in the past before.

Hahahahaha, Nike+ Training Club is another I have not used in a few years if I'm going to be very honest. In my last couple of years of high school I was super, super healthy and energetic - I worked out almost daily. Now I probably haven't touched this app for over a year. I keep it though as it is such a good app for training and who knows, I may just get a spurt of energy one day.......... (I doubt it).....

Monthly Cycles... oh dear, this folder is perhaps a little too revealing. But gals, no one wants Mother Nature surprising them, do they!? This is one of many apps which track your period and lets you know when it's just around the corner, woop de doo.

I use My EE to track my data usage each month - simple.

Pushbullet is another app like Google Drive which I use to transfer stuff between my phone and laptop, and also to other friends. I definitely recommend this.

If you don't own a Chromecast then go out and buy one now! I bought one for my sister a couple of months ago as a random present so that she can watch Netflix, iPlayer, Youtube, etc on her TV as she is constrained to bed rest all the time. I don't use this app at all but I needed to download it in order to set up and manage the Chromecast for her.

I spoke about Infinite Storm in my Rainy Mood Playlist post last month. This is a beautiful and more accessible alternative to rainymood.com which is totally calming - love, love, love this.

QuizUp and Heads Up! are all that's up (lol) in the game department on my phone.

SO, there you have it - my phone! I also have a Utilities folder which I won't show you as that is basically all of my outcasted apps which I don't use but because they come with the phone I cannot delete them.

I'd also like to mention that I was nominated by the wonderful Emma for the Versatile Blogger Award recently! Although I won't be making a post for it (as I have already done the Liebster award) I am immensely grateful and you should definitely check out her blog as it rocks.
