Nice to meet you to meet you nice

Hi everyone (a.k.a. probably one reader at this stage but I like to stay optimistic). As crazy as it sounds this is the first proper blog I have ever made, as in 'seriously' and with the intention of sticking to it for a long period of time!


I would say I am reasonably good at introductions when meeting someone for the first time in person yet as I try to scribble down meaningful words for this introduction I can say I am definitely struggling. Hopefully by way of making this blog, my already "articulate" way of speaking (or so I am told by others) will improve in the near future.

I have written a little "about me" snippet over on this page here which you are very welcome to read as an introduction to my life! 

The only thing I would like to draw attention to formerly in this post is my blog name 'FarawayLucy'. I was still a little bit of a literature enthusiast as a kid, my favourite book series being Enid Blyton's 'The Faraway Tree' (which I massively recommend for any children you know, or hey, even adults, we're all big kids here). I recently discovered that it is being made into a film as well which of course I was OVER THE MOON about. Anywaaaaay, long story short, that is where the 'faraway' originates from. The word also paints a picture of me as a daydreamer, adventurer and explorer with an epic feeling of wanderlust!
